Yes, it is recently composed, so that was a suggested melody, well spotted. Being seated is simply a function of getting old and wrestling with the old Greek bowlback!

wow, i haven't heard shan van bocht for years. we sang it as a childrens song with rather garbled gaelic lyrics in nova scotia and pei when i was young. now i thought it translated as the old woman--a frightening old woman. my gaelic is spotty. what do the lyrics mean?
