Carters had that Duff when I was there a few months ago but it wasn't on their website. I fell in love with it and was lucky enough to procure it's sister on the used market. Both are birdseye back and sides. I'm in love and spend less time on the forums now

I also played a new F5 Duff that was excellent.

Recent Duffs are exceptionally complex to say the least. If anything, it's easy to overdrive mine but I think that's just because I'm not used to such a response. I can get used to it!

As for the neck, it is a narrow vee but I absolutely love it but I like smaller necks. ymmv

Is that a Shure SM 81 mic? Is there a mic farther out in the room?

    From the YouTube clip:

Marc plays Frankie Bell and Soliders Joy on this beautiful Duff A5 currently in stock at the shop.

We close mic'd this mandolin with a Shure SM81 and mic'd the room with a MV88"

FWIW, I have a pair of older, made in the U.S. SM81s, that sound fantastic on any mando or guitar I've put them on.
