NAME in Spain: 45th Festival Internacional de Plectro de la Rioja

The New American Mandolin Ensemble (NAME) will give three concerts as part of the 45th Festival Internacional de Plectro de la Rioja, in Logroño, La Rioja, Spain. The NAME program will feature works by Richard Charlton, Owen Hartford, Annette Kruisbrink, Clarice Assad, Jobim, Claudia Mandonico, Chris Acquavlella, and the world premiere of a new work, “Philoxenia”, by James Kellaris. NAME has returned from Europe. Our three concerts at the festival in Rioja were well attended and, musically, very successful. The festival has released a compilation video of performances by the various artists; the NAME segment, which includes the premiere of "Philoxenia" by James Kellaris, starts around 4:25. Thanks very much for posting a link to the video. I was there as part of the Orchestra dell'Accademia Internazionale di Mandolino. (For those who don't know me I am the chap in the orchestra with the long white beard). It was a great pleasure to meet all of you in NAME and to renew my friendship with James Kellaris.
