    Default John Reischman- "Indiana Firefly"

Spending my Thursday night working on one of my all time favorite tunes, "Indiana Firefly." John Reischman wrote and recorded this tune, and he is one of the greatest mandolinists to ever play in my opinion. I played it faster than the album version, but this tempo felt natural to me. Thanks for watching!

Very nice! You pull a sweet tone from that mandolin.

Thanks so much man!!!!!! I really appreciate the encouragement. I can't say enough about how dependable that Pava is. I am really thankful that I was able to get it!

Thanks so much guys It is so nice to hear encouragement, and to hear the Pava get the praise it deserves. I have never owned an instrument that approaches it. I have used it in the studio, and it holds up just as well there. It's wonderful

Great tune. After learning the melody he plays first time through, I enjoyed learning the alternate he plays second time through.
I would have never thought of playing something like that.

I love that melody so much! The variations he chose in the recording are so beautiful. He is just an incredibly musical player, and inspires me constantly.

Cool. John told me he wrote that the first time he went to Bean Blossom, because it was the first place he'd ever seen fireflies.
