Thread: You can help me again, and this time it's FREE!

Default You can help me again, and this time it's FREE!

    Hi Folks,

Last spring you guys donated to help me get a mandolin stand which my students and I are quite enjoying. I have another project up but I don't want donations to it.

The fast food chain Sonic has a program every fall where they fully fund the top voted projects each week. All I need you to do is click the link below and then click the green vote button on the right hand side of the page. No email required. No sign up. Just click the vote button. Will take you 10 seconds.

If you can remember, you can do this every day this week! This project is for three guitars to expand my band.

    Thanks ahead of time!

It took longer that ten seconds for the page to load but, I'm not at home!
If it had taken twenty minutes I would have still done it!

Lynn, what types of guitars are you looking to buy? (I voted but I don't eat at Sonic )

This project is for three classical guitars with gig bags. They are Yamaha 3/4 sized. I have three Cordoba Cadets at the moment but they are twice as expensive. Sonic only funds $600 worth of stuff. This is what I could get into a $600 project. If this wins, I'll have seven guitars total. (These 3, the 3 Cordobas, and one crappy one that a former student grew out of many years ago and gave to me.)

OK, you might find folks here with guitars that fit your needs they might be willing to donate. I don't have anything that small.

I should note that I can't eat at Sonic, not that I wouldn't want to but they cater to people that can tolerate sugar and I can't.

OMG! Thank you so much :-))))) It is always my goal to be the best I can. I'm a fairly average mando player but I'm a darn good teacher. One of my kids this year likes the Punch Brothers and she will be doing "Next to the Trash" as a solo and will also play the instrumental solos on a xylophone. I will be doing a horrible rendition of just the chords on mando in a different key. If it's not embarrassing, I will post vid for you folks to see.

I hear ya! I'm mondo diabetic! I never eat there, but I've been going there every morning this week and buying a coffee and asking for extra vote stickers and then every afternoon and buying a water... and asking for extra vote stickers. Sometimes they give a bunch extra. Sometimes just a few. But anything is better than nothing.
