Thread: Hal Leonard Tenor Guitar Method

Post Hal Leonard Tenor Guitar Method

It was a pleasant surprise to come across this new book by Mark Phillips.

The material is presented in a clever, engaging way...sections are broken out by key with an introduction to the scale, some easy exercises to help you use the scale, a "strum-and-sing" song (some timeless folk classics), followed by a melody treatment of a familiar song.

Tunes are presented with tab and notation. Online audio access is included.

All in all, a very satisfying way to learn how to play the tenor guitar.

Page 53 has an interesting finger & thumb pinching version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen!
I found that technique quite difficult at first try but, I am kinda addicted now

I bought the digital version of the book (Amazon Kindle) and apparently I do not have access to audio files that accompany the book.
Would it be possible, if someone possess them, to transmitting to me?

There is a code inside the front cover that can be entered on a web site, that then allows you to listen to the samples.
I don't know if you can find the code on your kindle version?

The digitized version Kindle does not provide audio files. Each page it says this message:
“There is audio content at this location that is not currently supported for your device"

I therefore request that someone with the transmit them to me as an attachment to an email for example. I could give my email address in private message.

OK, got an email reply from my contact in less than 5 minutes. Doesn't mean you'll get your fix that soon but best to allow things to get fixed if they indeed are not working so that others can benefit.
