Do you know what the tuning is exactly?

23" scale Strings are all bronze wound. 30-24-26-18 The C and G are normal, the D and A are tuned an octave down from normal.
The 'Eddie Freeman' tuning i do believe.... Sounds fab on that intrument!

Just got a 23" scale Tenor , came with 12, 21, 32, 41, 3 wound , F C G D seems right ,
To bring it up to GDAE , I'd probably string it lighter.
Seller included 3_ J66, 10 14 22. 32,.. so that may be my next move..
2 Pearse #450 .. 13 20 30 42, those may be destined for the 17 fret 20" ITB..

10 14 22 32 works well for CGDA although the A is near it's breaking strain on 23" scales those gauges do sound great.
What model do you have?
GDAE. for me, requires a thicker bass than .42 and a lighter A.
I prefer 12p 18w 30w 45w for a 23" scale tenor, i used to use .20w for the A but if you can find a .18w it does even the sound out... I have found that combination works the best for me anyway.
For FCGD I would try 13p 20w 30w 48w.
From my experience, an equal as possible string tension for all the strings works the best but, i have found the bass string is the most sensitive.
Of course you may find a better combination to suit your individual style and instrument.
Ibanez AVT (after decades on Mandolin* , 23 is quite a new 'Stretch')

Well, Eagle Music sell a set for Irish tuning (GDAE) with even lighter gagues: 12,18,28,38 (E-G), but in my experience that just doesn't work, whether on a 21" or a 23" scale length. The bass string is far too light . I also wonder how they justify it.
"What's that funny guitar thing..?"
That guitar sounds very sweet, and some lovely chordal playing as well. Thanks for posting.
Cheers,
