Just saw a very cool film about the history of "Arhoolie" records! Not a massive amount of mandolin content but, anyone with an interest in "less than mainstream" music might find it interesting, I will watch it again. The whole thing was refreshing! Check it out!

I kind of liked his take on my line of "You have to know where you came from to know where you're going."
Generations of future musicians may never hear "how it sounded originally" without the contribution from Arhoolie!
I used to sell quite a few from the catalog back in my music store days.

I enjoyed the Cajun segments most in the film, but the story of Arhoolie records was interesting in and of itself. It inspired me to wash off some old vinyl in the kitchen sink!
