I saw this tuner section on this mandolin and wondered how would I fix this problem. Using the existing tuners I could not figure a solution. What would you do?

Walking out on a limb here, but I'm afraid the tuners are not the problem.
The mandolin is

How in the world, literally, can you sell a mando for $71 and offer free shipping without losing money?

I suppose for the $71 you get exactly what is displayed: a picture of a mandolin.

This makes the Rogue RM100 Mandolin look like a well built beginner instrument.
The "carving" on the scroll looks like it is a piece of carved wood which has been glued on! You get what you pay for.
That's a photo that deserves uploading on the forum for posterity.

I have a friend who likes Ammoon affects pedals. They run about $30 bucks each and do what they are told, I hear. But word of caution, my friend is the type of person who prides himself on what he didn't have to spend more than what he got and how well it works. Squeezes a nickel till the buffalo makes this really strange sound.
That's like a train wreck: horrible, but I can't stop looking....
I'm thinking maybe a decal or vinyl overlay on the back of Elvis on black velvet or Dogs Playing Poker. They should add a matching applique on the back as well, as, ya know, an expression of true quality?
Wow! That is one of the ugliest instruments I've seen in ages. Wouldn't it be funny if it sounded good. Hard to believe... I know.

LOOKS AREN`T EVERTHING
I had one very much like this one, not sure who made it and it didn`t have any tone bars (braces) and the thin top started to cave in after a few months, I did install a "sound post" to keep the sag from getting worse, believe it or not it did sound pretty good, I sold it to a fellow that I worked with and he still has it and says it plays nice, that was over 25 years ago and he is happy with it...

I'm assuming he was talking about the A style tuners on an F style headstock.

Ammoon also makes cheap ukuleles that look really beautiful. Never got a sound sample of these (ukulele and mandolin) anywhere.
From past experience with dirt cheap instruments from China, the description is just a lie. For example: when the description says "ebony", this means is "ebony black" (which is black like ebony !!!) If you scrape out the thin black "paint", you will see white wood underneath.
I am pretty sure that these instruments are MOLDED. Probably cost the maker less than 20$ to make one. Seen that on violin, bowlback mandolin, etc....
However, I admit for 71$, it's quite a very nice piece of wall hanger that certainly draws a lot of attention & talk.
Pretty good remark, I did not see that at first glance.the A style tuners on an F style headstock.
It's quite easy to buy F style tuners (cheap one from China) to replace these. Just make sure the holes match with the tuners distance.
How about an Ammoon 8-channel digital mixer, for $66.70?
These products must be built by gerbils, or indentured children, to achieve prices like that.
