This is only a little kitchen concert. You should see the Dreamer's Circus with a whole Copenhagen Philharmonic and the cittern leading with the fiddler.

    Ale Carr on cittern,
    Rune Sørensen on violin,

Yes, that guy's name is Ale Carr. He is terrific.
There was a thread about him a couple of years ago.

He's very good and a terrific tone also from his cittern.

You should look at this thread.

In his post on Dec 28th 2013 Ale Carr himself describes his instrument in great detail.

It looks like Ale Carr was writing on Mandolin Cafe. I wonder what he is doing now?
And Christer Adin - luthier. Does he have a website?

Funny how 'something new' is old news to others. I found these guys thru a NPR Tiny Desk concert done two years ago but it is still on youtube. I'm glad mandolin cafe can share and link this information for others to appreciate.

No mandolins here but real fine playing (and they arranged and wrote this stuff. Wow.) Rune Sorensen (in the front) is the fiddle playing friend of Ale Carr.

Ale is in a band called Basco, and as far as I know is still with Dreamers Circus.

Christer does have a website, but I didn't find it very informative.

I wondered why I like these young guys so much (They are 30 something and I'm going on 64 years now...). They have a nice attitude, very high skills, great friendships in music and really cool experiences including their own craft beer named after them.

    http://danishquartet.com/this-string-quartet-has-a-line-of-craft-beer/

They have good taste in music, a good aesthetic if you will. And they play stuff that they really like and they say that there is a lot of music out there that they don't like. I don't read that very much nowadays. Now how does that beer taste, I wonder?

The Basco band does have mandolin so here is a clip. Someone please explain the bloody scene. Not your average music video..

Allegoric interpretation of a healthy musician-audience relationship? Stage fright storming the stage on a camel - why a camel? That's the bit I don't understand.

The mandolin player is also the fiddler Hal Parfitt-Murray

I think the camel represents oil from the middle-east. And the mean guy falls from the sky that represents the bad air from climate change / disruption. And they (we) all suffer from the situation.

Maybe I should ask Ale Carr - cittern. This is just a guess. But I'm sure they know their beer.
