Thread: Flatiron Information Packet

    Default Flatiron Information Packet

I recently picked up a '93 Flatiron octave mandolin, and it came with this great folder of information about the company and the models. I figured folks might be interested in it, so I scanned it and am attaching it as a PDF for all to see and share. I figure this is not breaking any rules, but please do let me know if it is and I will take it down. I don't have any use for the original hard copy, so I'll be posting it in the classifieds soon with proceeds to benefit the cafe.

Looks like the PDF file is huge (170MB), so I am uploading the full thing to Google Drive, and perhaps someone with the knowledge can make it a more manageable size. Here's the link to the full rez file:

How cool, thanks! Looks like this brochure predates any F stylings they did. Love the quotes from the big boys:

I particularly like the f hole pancake mandolin pictured. I've never seen one of those in the wild!

Thanks for posting this. It's nice to be able to add more the the history of my 1984 Flatiron 2MW. It's still a great mandolin for playing Irish music.

Haha, maybe I'll save a little time and just hook an air compressor up to MandoLessons and blow everything up to twice the size.

    Thanks,
    Baron
