I am playing my Diamondback 7 days a week. I haven't touched the two point for a long time.
Bruce just did a wonderful job tweeking it for me in June too.

About 10 years ago, a patient came in with his 50's D-18. His buddy was in the cormer with his Southern Jumbo. My hands were busy so I couldn't break out my Djangolin. He is a great picker. Just glad he didn't try to sing.

I was an endodontist, (a specialist in root canal therapy), and patients never knew that I had huge pictures of Monroe, JD Crowe, Steffey, etc in my private office. I'll never know if that would have made them more or less apprehensive.....

In a pinch a mandolin player can floss with an E string, whereas banjo players can use a piece of mooring rope.
It ain't gotta be perfect, as long as it's perfect enough!

Actually, the first string on a banjo, as well as the fifth string, are usually about the same gauge as a mandolin E string. 0.011" to 0.012" is typical, although light strings can be 0.010". But banjo players don't floss, so the point is moot.
