Thanks for sharing. How do I create a link to upload mp3 files? Would love to upload to FB, so would probably need something like youTube, soundcloud or vimeo?

Hi Pasha - yes, as you can see, I load files onto Soundcloud and 'share' them from there. I'm sure you can do the same with lots of similar applications.

Absolutely delightful! Encourages me, once again, to start a mando orchestra in my neck of the woods!

Lovely arrangements, Andy. You give well-known tunes/songs a new life here.

Pasha, I also have stuff on SoundCloud but use YouTube too as it allows video as well as sound. SoundCloud is a sounds-only site. I know you are a regular here on the Cafe and you'll be aware of the Song-A-Week group. There are always videos going up there, mainly posted on YouTube then linked to the SAW group. There is a simple process for getting your YouTube video to appear on the group - You go to the relevant thread then go to Advanced in the Reply part and there you will see an icon for YouTube video insertion. Click on it and then add in the pop-up box the URL for the video you wish to upload. It is important that you only include the part of the video URL which comes AFTER the "=" sign on the URL. Here is the URL for the last video I uploaded to the SAW group -
https://youtu.be/XcicFGcpNqw. The part you load into the YouTube pop-up is the "XcicFGcpNqw".

    Hope this helps.

You can also use soundcloud tags in your post to embed the file in a player right in your post, so that people do not have to follow your link out to soundcloud in order to hear it.

To embed the soundcloud file use BBCode Tags in your post, like this:

    [ S O U N D C L O U D ]<paste the soundcloud url here>[ / S O U N D C L O U D ]

The bold parts above are the BBCode soundcloud tags, when you use them for real, do not add spaces as I've done here.

See Scott's post #11 in this thread: https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/s...ag-now-working

Ah! Just noticed that in the advanced post screen there is a soundcloud button - so if you're worried about typing the soundcolud tags, no need with the button. Just press the button there and entire the entire URL
