If your subjective experience is that a BC pick is not worth your $35, then I don't think anyone will take issue with your statement. However, your two previous posts which seem to assert objectively that such pick usage is "dumb," "nonsense," and "a placebo of sorts" for "newbies or bedroom pickers who really can't play all that well" had a completely different tone that many will find objectionable.

no troll, mr, stevo75, not in the least. this music industry is fulla great stuff, good stuff, and not-so-good stuff, like the box o' chocolates of life. sometimes the 'accepted standards of excellence' get to be what they are for the wrong reasons. just sayin'.

everyone has an opinion - i heard yers and now y'all heard mine. i can leave it at that, sure works fer me, trust the same fer y'all. louise sez 'howdy and cheers'.

I find it funny that some people balk at the "extreme price" of a bluechip...really? It's only ~$35! How much is you monthly phone and cable bill? Have you seen the cost of cars and trucks? A bottle of ok whiskey costs more and you eliminate it pretty quickly after it gives you its pleasure. BC picks last for years, even when you shred high volume bluegrass. Most people don't exclaim, I only eat ramen noodles, every day, it gets it done, why waste money on such extravagant things like flavor! Lol! Lighten up

Once. $35 one time. The cost of dinner for two at the diner. Once.

I told a coworker one time that I didn't buy expensive sunglasses because I always lost them. He said when you spent over $100 on a pair you didn't lose them.

You don't lose expensive sunglasses. You wind up sitting on them. As regards the geez Louise thread herein, when I practice at home on my old Washburn M4S, I use a Wegan or a Golden Gate. When I play on stage with my "good" mandolin, I use a Blue Chip TPR 50 exclusively. There is definitely a tonal improvement. 'Spensive? Think of it this way: we mandolinists have it pretty good with picks running from 50¢ to $50 each. Fiddlers' bows run from $15 to $5,000+.
