A tune finder type app sought for android

Hi. A guy came to one of our jams one time. He had this apple-made device on his cell phone. All he had to do was play a phrase or two into the phone, and the tune finder would name of the tune. (All it did, and all I want is the name of the tune -- not notation, not ABC notation, not tab, etc) His app would not work for an android. That was a couple of years ago, so I thought maybe something might have been developed for Androids. I've googled for info, but nothing that came up looked similar to what he had. There are quite a few android apps for music, but nothing looks right to me. Anyone know about an app that will simply give the name of a fiddle tune, if I play it on my mandolin? And by the way, one of the apps I located today says it works best on a legato instrument such as a fiddle. Obviously the mandolin is not a legato instrument.
