Mine looks a little worse than that but no neck work ever done. I'd entertain 9000.00!

It's the latest entry in the "won't get a bid or a buyer" thread nearby.

At first I thought English wasn't his first language. But, then I thought maybe he was just a bad speller. But, I think he is just a bad typist......

But, there is some logic that follows through. I mean, do you really want to send $10 grand to someone who is illiterate? (not that there is anything wrong with that or to be mean, I just want everyone on the same page, when I'm dealing with money) Wouldn't you try to compose the BEST ad copy you could for such a sale? And, of course, my favorite -- ONLY one picture!

Looks like it is strung as a four string. The top two tuner holes have a loop of string through them presumably for hanging? Strange.

Then again, The mandolin wuth it!

    Drought mandolin:
A mandolin which has suffered neglect for so long that it can only support four strings wuth or wuthout some seeeereeeus fixification.
    And it wuth 10,000?!
I wonder if he meant 1,000? Still an extreme in my book.

Maybe this is a trial run for one of those credit card ads...headline to read "My dad's mandolin? Priceless!"
Though most likely the listed price is just one ore of the guy's many typos...probably meant to list it at $1,000 - not $10,000.

    More sentiment than value.
Who could list a $10,000.00 instrument and not proofread it before listing. Who would list a $1,000.00 instrument and not proofread it first. But then check my grammar out.
$10,000.00 mandolin and you only get half the strings. Ha ha.

The two that show up nearby are kind of interesting, sorry to say though the case for the Alvarez is NOT original. The batwing for 120 sounds about right.
