Well, it's busted all right and PLEASE don't look at the nails that are holding in remaining binding on one side . . . but somehow the bids are up to over $700. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gibson-Mando...ZXwKl#viTabs_0

That looks pristine compared to some I've worked on The nails are likely from the original pickgaurd. Re-gluing the back is no problem, installing a nut and saddle, replacing some binding. From a distance very easy to get that one back in shape. It will go much higher than that I'm sure. I've paid that much for one that was all busted up with pieces laying in a box

Anyone notice the A-3 "basket case" for a little over a hundred bucks? If I had any skill, I might be tempted. The "refrigerator white" ones are so "cool"!
Ok, I'll go to my corner now.

That one is in seriously bad shape -- the seller even notes that -- and it is a lot worse than the mandola. Also, bear in mind that there are two days left. If it stays at that price it might even be worth restoring but you will have to buy all the parts for it and it looks like the top was stepped on or sat upon. Once you get that together you might have a sunken top anyway. Looks like the ribs have warped out too. A luthier's delight?

i'd be surprised if the white face is origonal, moreover the seller striped it of all the hardware, and the top looks caved in. i suppose that's not a bad price of you need a head stock for a repair project that is really worth it but shesh it looks so bad.
