No. There is so much bad advice on this video, where to begin? I would not follow this guys directions on how to do anything. The following are just real bad:
1. Mounting the (low quality cheapo) preamp in the side. There just isn't room in a mando even for that small preamp. Seriously compromised the instrument's structure.
2. Mounting a jack in unsupported side wood is just asking to tear out a chunk of wood later when you step on the cord while in motion.
3. Routing a channel in the bridge with a rotozip?
4. Dismissing everything else that many top players have successfully used for years (soundboard pickups, mics, external quality preamps, etc.) as "they all suck."
