60-Piece Mando Orch plays music from Classic Italian films

The Ciao Philadelphia Mandolin Orchestra performed a program of the film music of Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota on Nov. 5 at Rosemont College PA (suburban Philadelphia). The orchestra included members of the Munier Mandolin & Guitar Orchestra (PA), the Philadelphia Mandolin Ensemble (PA), the newly-formed Reading Mandolin Orchestra (PA), the Harrisburg Mandolin Ensemble (PA), the Pittsburgh Mandolin Orchestra (PA), the Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra (MD), the Takoma Mandoleers (DC), the New York Mandolin Orchestra (NY), the New York Mandolin Ensemble (NY), and the Long Island Mandolin & Guitar Orchestra (NY). The event was hosted by the Munier Mandolin & Guitar Orchestra, the Philadelphia Mandolin Ensemble, and Rosemont College.
