Michael Rüber on stratocaster with Mandolinenorchester Ettlingen

Shine On You Crazy Diamond for mandolin orchestra, with Michael Rüber soloing on Fender stratocaster. Since this was published in 2011, it may have appeared somewhere on the cafe already. I thought it merited a posting, for several reasons. Mr. Rüber does an excellent job of producing the iconic blues licks associated with this tune, and I find the tremolo harmony of the orchestra backing him with a chordal structure to be outstanding. A great performance and arrangement for mandolin orchestra.

Thanks for this. Being my very favorite Floyd song, I must have listened to this over 1,000 times over the years. This version makes it sound fresh all over again. This is going in my keeper bin.
