Guitarist John Doyle has produced two albums that have just been released on Compass Records. One is his own, and while I've only listened to it once, it is very good. I didn't hear a lot of his Trillium on it, tho the notes say it's on there.

The second one is John's dad's! Sean Doyle sang a wonderful track on John's earlier solo CD, and now he has one all his own. On this one many of the cuts are just Sean and John, and on a couple of them, the Trillium is featured as the only instrument accompanying the vocal, and the arrangements and playing are sparse and very, very eloquent.

So if you want to hear some nice OM, from John Doyle and Mr. Abrams @ Trillium, have a listen to this CD. I had a Trillium here for a few weeks, the one that our pal Karen (Otterly2k) has now, and yep, that's it! Woohoo. Very nice!

Disclaimer: I have no personal nor financial interest in the success of the Doyles' CDs.

    Good stuff!

Another CD (New) to check out to hear a Trillum is #[http://www.mandolincafe.com/news/pub...78.shtml]David Surette's [/URL] Northern Roots CD, information on this can be found on this web site. He tunes his Trillium ADAD. Sounds really good, and he is an excellent guitar and mando player as well.
