Thread: It's not a Mandolin, BUT

Default It's not a Mandolin, BUT

It kind of looks like one. Its a Paul Mosby USA-Made Acoustic Guitar

I would love to see someone with talent get this and fix it up. Seems a shame to let it go to waste. I'm not on any guitar forums so thought I would post here, in repair to see if anyone does not have enough projects lined up (ha ha)

Oops spelled mandolin wrong. Can't edit that part.

Also, mods please delete if this is inappropriate. Thanks.

They apparently like selling this. I'm guessing it was returned last time.

Assuming this were in better condition, anyone have a hunch whether it'd be a decent player? Can't find much on Mosby... I do rather like that headstock.

I was rather curious as to what this might look like, but I get a hard Connection Refused from that site. Another one opting out of GDPR, I guess. Can someone post a picture?

I seriously doubt it. Top looks like lauan plywood, or something similar, it has a very heavy bridge glued to it with other "decorative" wooden applique glued to the top below the bridge. A very strange body shape with the soundhole high in the upper bout. Nothing appealing about that thing to me, and personally I don't think I could like it even if it were perfectly sound with a perfect action. That one is a hard sell. It needs to be decorating the wall of a restaurant, IMO.
