Hubert Ries (1802-1886): Duet for Violin and Cello
I found this little violin/cello duet on Musescore, but know nothing about it other than the attribution "H. Ries". It's a lovely tune, and a joy to play!
Hubert Ries was a 19th century German composer, mainly known for his violin method. His brother (Ferdinand Ries) and his son (Franz Ries) were also composers, and are both more famous than Hubert. I have tried to identify this duet, but have not found it. It's not one of the 23 (very nice) duets in Ries's violin method.

The duet is scored for violin and cello, which I have played on mandolin and mandocello. However, the cello part is entirely in the range of the octave mandolin or the guitar, so can be played as a mandolin/OM or mandolin/guitar duet without changes. I attach a PDF score with the cello part written in octave treble clef, for OM or guitar.
