Thanks so much, Cafe! I've enjoyed the conversations a lot and there's little to no chance I would have wound up with my Kelley, without this place.

    So much goodness!!

Keeping Mando players out of bars and off the streets for 26 years, (maybe a little), no mean feat.

I couldn't agree more - and to further quote Timbofood, "I love this place!"

To Scott and the gang: my gratitude, and a little something via paypal.

Dangit, it snuck up on me again this year. Ah for the sound of the blazing 14.4K modem and the computer that might have had 32 MB of RAM, though I doubt it did.

You made me think back to my original "digital" camera, a Kodak (I forget the model) sort of held like a pair of binoculars and NOT even rated at one megapixel. Still, good enough for eBay and the internet. But, before that using a 35mm, one hour processing, and then scanning the pic...quite a time-saver!

Happy Birthday! The Café turns 28 today. You know what that means, right? It dodged the 27-year curse. It's outlived Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Robert Johnson, Brian Jones, Jim Morrison, Pigpen, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Chris Bell, so many. RIP to them, and congratulations to Mandolin Café. Long may you run!

Oh, and yes to the memory of modems and that snazzy "tune" they played when connecting. I miss that. I don't miss the slowness, though.
