Torrified adi top on an oval

I realize there may not be any examples but how does the idea strike you oval lovers?

A friend of mine Paul who makes Siveen mandolins here in Ireland swears by torrified tops. All the ones I tried of his were great instruments, although the non torrified ones were great as well.

Edit: I think he mainly uses torrified Sitka spruce.





Personally I'd like the idea of torrified adi oval. Especially on a long neck hybrid oval.
