A lot of flash, but you think they'll have any staying power?

hard to say! But seriously, it's so awesome to see these guys all together...Sam Bush's solo has so much energy..Tony Rice's economy of movement in his right hand and the way he drives the band. O'Conner's fiddle solo was sweet too. Forrest looks just like a clone of his dad. Fun stuff

just a few short years ago Tony R had some major issues with his hands, had to stop playing and there was talk floating around of some high $ surgery. I think the IBMA did a fund raiser. I never heard anymore. Anyone know whats going on with TR these days?

I was privileged to see him with Mountain Heart in Asheville at a small venue-that was also the first time I saw Aaron Ramsey on a mandolin(I had not started attempt to play mandolin yet). Both were amazing, of course. I remember TR introduced Snuffy Smith to the small audience as he was riding around with TR in his mustang. Amazing evening.

That sounds like it was a fun night. Snuffy (R.I.P.) was a good man. He re-fretted my mandolin.
