Default Pikelny and Duncan: NMC, BUT

    Hey folks-

Saw the Noam Pikelny/Stuart Duncan show lat night at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley. Missed them when they last toured, 4 years ago.

No mandolins on stage, but there was an abundance of artistic and technical brilliance, humor and stories. A lot of Bill Monroe and related music and stories woven in.

For me this falls into the "must see" category. Simply and amazing show. One set, no intermission, and I don't think anyone in the audience lost attention for one second.

Highly recommend (obviously) catching them on this tour.

I couldn't agree more. I saw them on the first tour at Rockwood in NYC. Still one of the best live performances I've ever witnessed.
