Default Richard Strauss: Der Rosenkavalier - Waltz Theme

Richard Strauss (1865-1949): Der Rosenkavalier (1911)
Waltz Theme adapted and simplified by Lluc Maduell

This is a much shortened and simplified extract of the main waltz theme from the Rosenkavalier. The setting is originally for four guitars, as found on Musescore:

I have adapted this arrangement for a mandolin quartet (two mandolins, octave mandolin, mandocello), plus a waltz rhythm on tenor guitar.

    1890s Umberto Ceccherini mandolin (x2)
    Mid-Missouri M-111 octave mandolin
    Suzuki MC-815 mandocello
    Vintage Viaten tenor guitar

I've just revisited this tune -- same arrangement as before, but simplified even further to just mandolin and mandocello (omitting the two inner voices) plus a waltz rhythm on tenor guitar.

    1898 Giuseppe Vinaccia mandolin
    Suzuki MC-815 mandocello
    Vintage Viaten tenor guitar

Very nice, indeed. Just in time for New Year's Eve! Thanks.
