Flamekeeper Documentary on Amazon!
All,
Just wanted you to know that a fantastic documentary on Michael Cleveland is out on Amazon for rent or purchase. NFI on my part, but I was so humbled and amazed by his story. Lots of mandolin in the doc, with Nathan Livers, Andy Statman, and Michael himself. Highly recommended.

Re: Flamekeeper Documentary on Amazon!
I watched it a few days ago, and second Jake's post! Cleveland is a fascinating player and wonderful to be around. I was lucky enough to spend some time in the studio with him when he was recording with Andy Statman for the last two Statman albums. Andy is wonderfully open to trying anything in the studio - and although he's clearly the 'leader', he has a great way of working with other musicians in a way that seems to free them up. And it was obvious how Michael enjoyed taking on the challenges of music that moved well outside his bluegrass wheelhouse.

Looking forward to seeing him at the Wenatchee River Bluegrass Festival in Cashmee WA this June! I had my little ones watch the documentary with me and they are excited to see him play also.
