I tried multiple plectras to play my Mandola but I can not find one that suits me perfectly.
Should we choose it thick and hard?
What material?
What brand?
Can you advise me?

I use a Primetone 1.3 but it really depends on your instrument, its setup, what strings are on it, what style of music you’re playing and what you feel happy with. It’s largely irrelevant what others are using.
After many changes of mind I think D'Andrea Pro Plec 1.5mm give me the woody dark sound I like.
Their cheap enough to just give it a try.
Thank you for your answer!
The references you specify do not indicate the type of shape.
For Andrea it should be added with 6254 or 6310 or 6651,etc.
and for Primetone, I guess this is Dunlop? It should be added with 511P or 513P, etc.
I use a green Dunlop .88 Tortex -it was standard shape but I have sharpened it up. Next time I might try it in a Jazz III shape.

Wot no catchphrase?
I use a Blue Chip STP 40 on my Collings MT mandola.
Thank you at all for your answer!
I don't have a mandola but there is a very entertaining guy on youtube who made a video about the plectrums he uses among many other videos where he plays a variety of string instruments, mainly guitar and ukelele, but others too.
I don't recall if Rob Scallon ever played a mandolin or even a mandola, but he has made a video on the plectrums he uses.

My suggestion is to try several different picks to see what sound you want to get out of it. I am finding that each instrument I have needs a different pick to get what I want from it. I have pretty much settled on a blue chip CT55 for my mandolin. There are others that do work with that mandolin, but since the blue chip shows no sign of wear with over a year of playing, it will most likely be my go to unless I lose it.
For my bouzouki I am still going through different picks trying to find what works best for me. I am currently going between a clayton triangle 0.63mm and 0.80mm. The thinner one sounds a bit better for strumming, but the thicker one handles triplets better.
So I suggest you keep experimenting until you find the sound you are looking for, and enjoy the ride.
Good Luck

I have found that the Dunlop Ultex 73 is a good pick for mandola.
