KPTZ.ORG presents "A Joyful Cry – Brazil’s Choro Music" Saturdays at 11 AM PDT (-8GMT) in April. KPTZ announces a replay of the radio special on the history of Brazil’s Choro music. The show, A Joyful Cry: Brazil’s Choro Music was produced by WFMT Radio Network out of Chicago, and is hosted by Chicago flautist Julie Koidin and Brazilian musician Geraldo de Oliveira. Presented in four one-hour segments, it documents the history of this music – the first truly Brazilian music. Air dates: 4/6, 4/13, 4/20 and 4/27. Stream it at KPTZ.ORG. There are some absolutely spectacular performances on this compilation. Don't miss it!

This includes incredible performances never released other than on this show. Especially useful to us is the fourth show, with the string players. Show one is also a good overview.
