Default My new Price mandolin/Violin Combo case

I received it today. So far I’m liking it a lot. It took about a month to be completed. Gary Price is a nice guy and great to deal with. Click image for larger version.

I haven’t weighed it yet. Gary told me 16 pounds, but it feels lighter to me. I will weigh it tomorrow and report back.

That Price case looks really fine. Gary’s older version was way bulkier and a bit heavier. My Calton combo case (s. the current Calton thread) weights 14.5 lbs. BTW Mainstage still makes those Calton style combo cases.

I think I see the storage at bottom right. Is there enough space for a shoulder rest, and then the rest of the things you need for both fiddle and mando?

Yes. Shoulder rest, rosin, and tuner fit.

I'm guessing it was a special order, since I don't see them listed on his website. ?

Yes, He makes them to order, but it took less than three weeks from the time I ordered it to the time that I received it.
