Hi, I've just started with the "Paramount method for tenor-banjo" (available on archive.org). I got to the tremolo part, page 11.
"In the following melodies, the tremolo is indicated by the slur mark. Begin by playing
each measure in 8th notes; then in 16th notes; and as proficiency is attained, in 32nd and 64th notes."
I never touched a tenor banjo, so I assume it must be easier to perform a tremolo on that one. I struggle to play 8 repetitions of the same note, let alone 64.
Does the tremolo make sense at all on a guitar vs banjo? I mean, is it even achievable? At one point, I'd like to have a proper banjo. Should I leave it to when I have the banjo, or should I persist until I can get 64th notes tremolo?
