Default Where to buy Bouzouki online?

I've recently discovered the bouzouki and as a fan of mandolins i was intrigued, however i am struggling to find a place online that sells them for less than $2000,
i did find one website that sold them https://www.bouzouki.org/, though i'm not sure if it is a reliable site, any info or help would be greatly appreciated

You might have better luck posting this in the CBOM section (Cittern Bouzouki Octave Mandola) section. Are you specifically interested in Greek music? There are Irish bouzoukis, which are constructed and tuned differently as well. Those are comparatively easy to find and can be had for well under a thousand.

There's a used Greek bouzouki in the classifieds here for $500.

    Good luck.

You could try Thomann https://www.thomannmusic.com/index.html they deal with the US, not sure about shipping &c.

They do Bouzoukis and are reliable, at least here in the UK.

I purchased my Irish bouzouki from Thomann and was pleased with my transaction.
    Shipping took about 3 weeks.
The instrument seemed stuck in customs in Germany for about 10 days, was flown to Chicago, and was stuck in US customs another 10 days.
Other than anxiously waiting, there were no problems.
The instrument has a 3 year warranty - which you would not get with an EBay instrument.

I think that if you want to try an instrument without breaking the bank, Thomann is well worth considering.

Pavlos ( the owner) is a very reliable source of Greek bouzouki. Give him a call. he hand selects his bouzouki from Greece and he is a bouzouki player himself . he can let you hear the sound of different ones through skype.
