As long no one mentions Ricky Skaggs we should have a quiet night.

Urge to post Jimmy Martin videos rising.
You could sell tickets for that and have vendors with beer and peanuts as well.
I don't know much about the guitars that were destroyed other than the fact that they were designed and built under the previous management. They are also not very saleable in the market with all of those gadgets built into them.
It's also important to note that they were unreliable in operation and thus warranty work and servicing returned units would certainly have been a losing proposition. Therefore, it seems a wise decision to scrap them and start over. Sounds to me like Gibson in back on the rails again with their new management. JMHO.
1917 Gibson A-3, '64 Martin A, 2016 Rhodes F5R.
There is a video on youtube called :The 10 worst guitars ever made" The Firebird-X is near the top of the list. Gibson just made a bad design in their attempt to keep up with the digital age.

Thank you Olaf, that’s really the way I was looking at it, what a waste of time and material! Just sickens me, donate the material to a lutherie school and do something constructive, but, NOOOOO, we will just Bulldoze them!
We should not waste the bandwidth on any more of this, I’m out.

I think its a special kind of stupid to film something like this and share it with the world. First rule at work should be 'no cameras.
Don't think of it as destroying..... these are the factory distressed models! distress level 9.run-over-by-a-bulldozer.....

The older I get, the less tolerant I am of political correctness, incompetence and stupidity.
It was posted by someone identified as an "ex Gibson employee," so I would assume it was filmed while employed and then posted afterwards for whatever private motive. Maybe years later, we don't know the date this was shot. Not exactly a leak in the usual sense of the word.
