    Default help identify a 5-string e-mando?

    Hey all,

A family friend just picked up this 5 string electric mandolin. They were apparently told it was a "Fender HM" but that is obviously not correct. Anyone have any idea who made this?

I got hit up for info via text by a distant connection - like 'a close family friend whose uncle bought it from someone they described as a friend' kind of thing - I have asked for more information about the transaction, where it was bought, etc......

A Mark Hencel for sure. Tried to get one from Emando but no response from the maker to figure out specs. Ordered a Schwab 5 instead and very excited for it! But MH does beautiful work! Let us know how it plays and sounds!

    Patrick-
Do you still have this mandolin? I have been out of the loop here for a bit and ran into the person I built it for. This instrument was stolen from his truck in Portland some time ago. Any information as to where it was obtained will be helpful.
    Thanks
