Hi, I've written to Andy about it. the guy who sold it to the shop said a bass and electric guitar were made in the same vein for the original owner.
I'll let you all know. 1980 i believe
the neck is everything my eastwoods aren't. ... perfect.... obvs a handmade pickup - parentage i hope to find out.

I'll take some better photos when I've some light!

it's a thru neck. Nice rounded sides to the neck. Brass nut

I got it for virtue of the fact that the shop hadn't put it on their site. it had been there some time before, as i was leaving i asked... do you have any tenors? I can't see one?

Apparently that very same eve, another guy spotted it and wanted it, but my name was down

the funny anecdote? I was giving it a play thru a strymon big sky today in the shop and some kid came over and showed a lot of interest, what is it... oh it's a tenor i like that... how'd you tune it etc.
the lead singer of the pop band The 1975 it turned out (after i realised he was a touring muso)

Oh darn, I was just on Denmark Street 2 days ago for my first London visit in a couple of years, pleased that the shops haven't been priced out yet. But I thought, "I'll go over to Hobgoblin - these mopes won't even know what a tenor is!"

Congrats on a good find, @Rob - couldn't be in the hands of a better person!

PS - how was it tuned in the shop - ADGBE?

    That's kind thanks!
Four stringed mate! It seemed most comfy in GDAE (I can never guess). Came back to find the guy who tried it after me had attempted to tune to CGDA so I'd have to look at the gauges on it.
Gonna stick it thru my thr10c later can't wait. House still asleep and no 1/4" headphones adaptor doh.
In all this I've assumed it's an ANDY Manson... Because he builds such things.

Oh duh. I thought I read it was a 5, but that must have been another thread (and it was 01:30 AM).

Looking forward to hearing it - that pickup looks intriguing!

I see you got your Kestrel back. Can you post some pictures of the new scratchplate by any chance?
