    I've scooped both of my Gibson F5's, I also own a Collings MF, haven't seen the need to scoop it as the fingerboard doesn't extend so far as to get pick click.

    I cannot abide a fretboard of more than 19 frets. I'd scoop it or chop it off regardless of appearance. Just me.

    Had a 24 fret "abreviated" fretboard scooped after the 19th fret for unobstructed picking.

    Although when doing a lot of tremolo I move the pick up onto the frets/fretboard sometimes.
