Default Acoustic Mandolin plus electric tenor playing live kit question..

    Hi
So my k&k equipped mando I put thru my AER compact 60 for live use. It's great as I can use it as a monitor and in my loud band that's useful. No feedback from front monitors at festivals etc.
I also play electric tenor guitar - til now thru a yamaha thr10.

All well and good but we have to minimise inputs so I'm Ltd to one input.
    But.
I am quite stupid sometimes... Not very audio savvy.

we fed the thr10 via headphone out to input 2 on the aer.

It has inevitably meant a repair bill.

So quickly moving on - if opt now for an amp sim pedal (I fancy the new strymon one) how could I best send that plus my acoustic to the one desk input?

    Thoughts please guys?

I wish I could get a bigger desk but I can't ask my band member to buy another!

for two inputs I use a tone bone , which will switch between the two instruments out to one output , there are cheaper ways , an A /B switch would be cheapest. if I understand your question correctly.

My pedal board for Bass guitar, mandolin and tenor banjo has one for the BG but the Mando/TB go into an A/B switch -> compressor -> then a cheap Behringer acoustic DI (approx $30) because I will always be playing one instrument at a time and the BG needs a separate feed.

So like mentioned above an A/B switch is in order but I add the compressor and DI to control a variety of pickup types and the DI has both 1/4" and XLR. The BG side also has its own compressor and DI.

Actually just reading again why don't you just use the Aux in on the AER? that's line level and it has a line level output to go to your desk.
