    Default Andrew York. Home.

    Hi,

Beautiful tune I stumbled across that I would like to hear played on mandolin. I’m learning it, anyone else played it?

Played on a 19th century guitar for added effect!

    Regards

    Hi Mandrian,

Slightly strangely I have also been listening to Andrew York recently and have seen his video of Home. I haven't tried to play it on mandolin, however.

Your video won't play on my computer,

    His stuff is nice.

    Hi Dagger,

Sorry about the link. Displays on my iPad ok, but must have done something wrong.

Here is Andrew's video. I did have a quick go at this piece this morning. I think it will work quite well on my 10 string mandolin

Lovely tune and a great tone from that guitar. Interesting piece as a mandolin possible, Mandrian.

    Hi,

Thanks for the replies. I’ve just about learned all the notes as I hear them. Can only play it at about 3/4 speed, but I’m getting there and will keep working it. Always think it’s a lot easier to learn tunes, that get into your brain whether you want them to or not. Also find there’s some tunes that you’re attracted to, but you soon tire of. I don’t think this one will fall into that category.

    Regards,
