    Not to hijack the thread but Andrew, the A model of yours in the classifieds at the moment (mando Mutt) is spactacular. Talk about fit and finish, your head stock design is one of best I have seen.

    I got to play a Heiden at a festival a number of years ago and it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. A truly amazing mandolin.

    I agree with Charles the Mowry MandoMutt has listed is a beautiful mandolin.

    I love Ellis mandolins. Tom makes a very fine instrument. But they’re not selling for $20k. And they’re also built by a team of people, a very skilled team of people. The others on my list are all one man shops. Certainly part of the mystique that drives the price.
