It also may depend on WHERE you get your Eastman. If a shop does a proper set up on the instrument, they may replace the strings. So if you got it from a store you might ask them if they were changed during set up. Chances are, they have the D'Addario EJ74s as those are kind of the standard string for carved top Gibson clone mandolins from larger production facilities.
