I've been waiting patiently and watching the progress since Feb. Another week is not a big deal. Should be here by Friday. I'll post a video and a review when it arrives.

    It arrived today!
    Beautifully built and sounds great!
Came with a nice foam and canvas case, similar to Guardian and Gator cases, made by Hosco Japan.

Here it is outfitted with a matching maple McClung armrest from Doug Edwards at Hill Country String Works.

    beautiful!
sounds really nice and it looks like it plays extremely well. you look very much at ease playing, as if you've owned it for years, that tells me it plays and feels great in hand.

D- That's very kind of you to say. Thanks.
It is super comfortable and easy to play. That was my experience with the one I played at Dusty Strings and this one does not disappoint.
The only issue is it still needs some time for the finish coat to fully cure, so it is a bit tacky on the neck. I expect here in Colorado that will probably be a month or 2. Then I'll knock down the gloss on the neck with some scotch-brite. I'll post some more tunes and a full review when I get a chance.
Best to everyone. Thanks for reading!

Do you have any reservations about installing the armrest before the finish has fully cured?

Yes I do. The builder said that it can probably be buffed out after, or if I intend to leave it there, that it won't be seen. I'm going to check it every few days.

I will not comment on the message in the video -- regardless of its importance. I will say, however, I think Home is correct. I don't think this is the right forum. I am on MC daily because of its superlative musical and mandolin related content. It is a welcome escape from the internet bullying and commentary that is so rampant. If I want social commentary I know where to go. If I want political commentary I know where to go. If I want rational escape -- such as anything mandolin or music related. I know where to go -- at least I did. I just hope MC is not going to become a catalyst for social or political commentary. Drawing the line is a slippery slope to ----------------- thought police status. Just sayin'

I appreciate your comments and agree with your position. Regardless of political leanings the mandolin cafe has always remained neutral. My hope is that it stays that way.
    Cheers
