I checked my bank account this morning and did not receive so-called stimulus payment. Disappointed, but not surprised. Just checking to see if anyone got theirs....

Yes,2 days ago..mandolins are great,,
Mine went through this morning. Unfortunately there are no new mandolins in my future, but I can still browse the classifieds with interest.
Nope. But when I do, I'm going to buy this $25,000 Gibson:

I did...but my other 'habit' is photography and I might buy a new lens instead.
Not yet!
I doubt I'm getting one. I did, however, just get a torrified blonde Collings MT2 that is quite lovely. It's about all the stimulation I can handle on a Wednesday morning. To adapt an old "head" comics line about reefer, mandolins will get you through times of no money better than money will through times of no mandolins."

Ours showed up yesterday.
From what I have read, the money was sent to the banks Friday, but many of them need a few business days to process it.
My son, in NYC, did 2 days ago.

Order placed for a new ax.
Well, isn't that our patriotic duty? To stimulate the economy in some fashion? Sure as hell can't buy any Purell or toilet paper at the moment.

New Axe ??
Seriously though, if I do receive one, I'm putting it towards the Iwamoto F5 that I already have on order:

So mine is going to help the economy of Japan I guess. We're still allies with them right?

I didn't receive my check yet, but my girlfriend did buy me an F5! (oh boy, I know what's comin' now...)
We got ours as well as our tax refund, which was nice because we had expected to owe this year. No mandolins in my future, though, but I am content with what I have. I mean, as long as I'm not looking at Gils or Nuggets online.
No check for me, and there shouldn't be. I'm still an essential worker, earning a generous paycheck.
Just got it today. No new mandolins in my future but I may buy one of those new Daddario CT casein picks.

A bunch of stuff with four strings
Yes.
Thankful we're still both gainfully employed but no checks for us. Had to make my own stimulus by selling a couple of instruments I wasn't playing. Bought a Waterloo mandolin with some of it and using the rest to buy a spin bike and outfit a make shift home gym.

I've heard that my sons have received theirs, direct deposit. I doubt my wife and I will get any, she's still "essential" working and I'm comfortably retired. And that's ok, I'd rather see these checks go to people who are out of work and worried about rent, bills and putting food on the table.

I am retired, and I have my money safely invested in the stock market! Only government checks I get are Social Security (aka 'the Sosh'). So things are pretty good. I even found out that my local liquor store carries both hand sanitizer and toilet paper. Things are really good!
