    Default Derek Trucks "Singing style"

    Most of the sliding I've heard on mandolin has been by Indian cats like U Srinivas, who play electric, 5 string instruments...not so much on traditional 8-string acoustic instruments. While I absolutely LOVE that style of playing, I wanted to investigate a bluesier, vocal-like sound on the latter, ala slide guitar master Derek Trucks. Here's a brief video...
