Thread: Celtic lockdown!

    Default Celtic lockdown!

Just saw this video on Adam Rhodes' site:

Adam features about halfway through with his Forster guitar bouzouki Glad I could contribute.

Great music. Great video. Pity about the swearing at the end...

    Enjoy!

Great bit of session playing. Amazing to see how well every one of the participants linked in. Who said latency was a problem?

John, as I learned on the "Tunes in the Hoose" Facebook page, these videos can be made by stitching together separate recordings. Starts with one person recording something then the others record themselves playing the same in synch, and a "stitcher" with the time and know-how puts a band together from a selection of the uploaded videos.

A description of the process from your Argyll press. That article is so West coast. "Have came" and "having saw" :-)

Thanks for link, Bren. As a retired teacher of English in Dunoon Grammar School (retired in 2003 after 35 years at the chalkface) I really did my best to sort out past tenses from past particples, and I am sure this phenomenon is much wider in its spread than the West Coast. Very prevalent in football programmes where the pundits who give us the benefit of their soccer knowledge seem to have been trained in the use of the vernacular demotic. Oh well, language is a living, evolving entity, I suppose, but I too find a slight jarring when I hear the mangled phrases.

    Stay safe.

Breathtaking. Thanks for sharing. I have seen so much great music since early March. There is an upside to being kept at home. I have seen creativity at a whole different level. Lovely playing !

That is an impressive feat to keep all those remote musicians in sync. The final result is breath taking.

I agree with the above comments regarding staying at home. I first learned of Zoom five weeks ago and now I’m hosting international songwriting sessions with friends.
