    I've had this mando about a month but a friend drowned my digital camera in a creek while we were camping... long story... #

    Now the camera has been replaced so I thought I would post some pics. As good as this mando looks, the tone and volume are unexpected in a new instrument. It compares closely with my picking partner's 2002 Master Model.

    It looks beautiful, congrats! I love the colors, I like being able to see the figure all the way to the edges.

    thats a really nice mandolin, i too love the colors and the great flamey wood is that a dudenbostel strap?

    Yes, it is a Dude strap, the best I've tried.

    Yup, that's a Chris Stanley, alright. #About as traditional as you can get, right down to the hand-applied finish and the french polishing. #And I agree that the most logical comparison is the Gibson Master Model. #But wow, the Stanley is half the price of the MM.... #And of course, there are other reasons to buy from a guy like Chris. #

    I posted some before, and not to detract from the subject, but for those who might have missed it, here's a shot of Number 10 (of which I am the happy owner).
