One of the most innovative and amazing guitar players, Michael Hedges, with Darol Anger, Mike Marshall, and Todd Phillips.

I've seen other clips like Gator Strut with this crew, what an album that would have been - Anger Marshall Hedges and Manring

Well that's cool : )
I was really into Michael (especially before Taproot) and saw him several times. I used to keep a guitar in "Aeriel Boundaries/Rickover's Dream" tuning.
Found him in the mid '80s; saw him in the early 90's in San Diego at Humphreys, and in the Village, maybe at The Bottom Line. Such an amazing performer and so humble. He evidently saw himself more a composer.
Axes: Eastman MD-515 & El Rey; Eastwood S Mandola
Amps: Fishman Loudbox 100; Rivera Clubster Royale Recording Head & R212 cab; Laney Cub 10
Thanks Steve I've seen most of it here and there...
I did see Hedges live in Troy NY for the Oracle tour - not his best album, but he played electric mandocello and did a lot more singing than I expected, but was of course a guitarist from another planet. I really liked Breakfast in the Fields, Areal Boundaries and Taproot.
Michael Mannring did play on Marshall and Anger's Chiaroscuro album, and was in the group Montreax as with Mike and Darol as well.
