Thread: Looking For Morris Tuners

  1. #1

    Question Looking For Morris Tuners

I'm looking to find some really good tuners for my recent Morris mando purchase. I'm not sure if the current tuners are Chrome or Nickel but I do like the way they look. I would be open to Pearl as well I suppose. I don't want to spend $450+ on Waverlys but some nice Grovers should work. I'm not super familiar with the different available options. What do you think?

My Morris has Gotoh tuners. I just replaced the pearloid buttons with ebony ordered from Luthier's Mercantile to dress it up a little.

Hopefully they are standard size for the hole spacing. 23mm.
Measure from the center of one shaft to the next.
If so, you have plenty of good options.
    My favorite are Rubner tuners.

My Morris flatty had Grover 304's,I think, and I put on Grover 309's which I like MUCH better.

Those are Grover's on there already, but as Frankdolin mentioned, the 309's are a step up.
