Thread: Electric Mandolin

    Default Electric Mandolin

    Hello,

We've had this kicking around the store since the 1990s. Haven't been able to find any information about it at all through online searches. Anyone have any ideas as to who put these out?

    Thank you,
    Preston

    Frankencaster.

Neck and fretboard are from a '60s Japanese electric like this one: https://reverb.com/item/32962074-bru...hoCu-oQAvD_BwE

It's possible that this is the original body too, just cut down and refinished, with the pickup replaced and moved closer to the center. You could confirm that by taking off the pickguard and seeing whether the original cavity has been filled.
